- Washington Transfer Station – 15886 Gaston Road , Washington , Hours: Fri-Sun ONLY 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
- SPD – Parking lot, Zion Street, paper, cans, glass and plastic.
TRUCKEE
Town of Truckee -www.townoftruckee.com – for solid waste managemnet and information on all recycling possibilities. In Placer County most trash is taken to a Materials Recorery Facility (MRF), where many recyclables are seperated from the garbage and kept out of the landfill. If you want to do your own recycling use a BLUE BAG -for pick up with your other trash.

- Eastern Regional Landfill (ERL) – Buy Back and Recycling Facility , Hwy 89 south & Cabin Creek Road – Tuesday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Closed from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. for lunch.* 530-583-0148 *The Eastern Regional Landfill (for the acceptance of waste and inert material) is open Monday-Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. there is no lunch closure for the transfer station.
