Tahoe greenfest
Tahoe GreenFEST is a festival promoting sustainability and green living practices. This year it is being held in the Kings Beach State Recreation Area in Kings Beach – ON THE BEACH!!!! on July 10th and 11th. These weekends in July are extremely popular and Tahoe is a happening place to be.
Exhibits are open 9am to 5pm each day. The event is open & free to the pubic. Dr. Solar – kids entertainer, Music, Organic Food, Beer and Wine, Farmers Market, Sustainability Conference and more!

Wanderlust is a one-of-a-kind festival bringing together the world’s best yoga teachers and best performers in rock & roll, all in a setting of breathtaking natural beauty. Yoga Classes
Wanderlust will offer yoga classes at nine separate venues Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1, 2010. Most classes are located in the Village, but there are a number of classes at High Camp as well. You’ll need one of our yoga + music tickets to practice. You can schedule your classes in advance through our website beginning March 29, 2010. |

Meditation & Lectures
For those interested in exploring the mind, Wanderlust will offer meditation workshops, lectures, and demonstrations covering topics of importance to our yoga + music ticketholders. You can schedule these events using our scheduling app beginning March 29, 2010. |

CABLE CAR
All yoga + music ticketholders have access to Squaw Valley’s world-renowned cable car, which will carry you up 2,000 vertical feet to High Camp, el. 8,200′. Several of our yoga classes will be held there, and you can also eat, swim or hike in the High Camp facility, which features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and expansive views of the Sierra Nevadas and Lake Tahoe. The Cable Car runs from 8 am to 6 pm. |
MUSIC

PULSE STAGE
Located at over 6,000 ft and featuring stunning views of Squaw Valley’s KT-22 and Granite Chief peaks, THE PULSE is the centerpiece of Wanderlust’s music experience. Envisioned and curated by Shiva Rea, in partnership with Wanderlust, THE PULSE will consist of an expansive saddle-span tent and two stages, surrounded by creative vendors, exhibitors and interactive experiences. During the day, THE PULSE will feature yoga classes (lead by Shiva Rea and others), drumming, West African dance, Indian martial arts, Tantric blues therapy and kirtan. By night, THE PULSE will stage Wanderlust’s headline musical acts, stilt walkers, fire spinners, dance parties and late night rasa lounges. |

Squaw Valley provides the perfect natural setting to meditate, contemplate, or just get away from the concrete and crowding of our large cities. Take the cable car to the top of the mountain and you can wander for hours across ridges and meadows where there aren’t even any trails. Or go for a five minute hike out of the Village and you’ll find yourself on an immense network of paths interspersed with streams, rock climbs and wildlife. Come get away. |
The word Wanderlust dates back to the 19th century, the age of Romanticism. People across Europe and the US reacted to the first signs of urban sprawl, overpopulation and industrialism by losing themselves in nature, the visual arts, music and emotion. We feel that Wanderlust’s creative and spiritual community is just a large family of modern Romantics, people for whom nature acts as a muse. But thats not all! Free Bike Maintenance Classes
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 – 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Every month, Tour of Nevada City Bike Shop offers free repair classes on various aspects of bike repair and general cycling knowledge. These evening classes allow us to pass along our knowledge about the sport we feel so passionate about. We offer a new skill at the end of each month.

Fruit tree sheet-mulching party at Ananda Dhiira
Saturday, April 3 at 1pm
Come ring in the spring with a fruit tree sheet mulching party at Ananda Dhiira – Center for Spirituality and Wellbeing, located adjacent to the picturesque Yuba River State Park at Bridgeport, near Penn Valley.
Learn about the proper way to fertilize and mulch fruit trees according to permaculture principles, using free/low-cost, easily-obtained, local waste materials. Ananda Dhiira features over 50 mature fruit trees including apple, cherry, peach, nectarine, pear, persimmon, pomegranate, prune, plum, fig, walnut, and olive. Amongst the scenic beauty, learn new techniques for fruit tree care, reconnect with local friends and make new ones, enjoy a cold refreshment, meditate next to the restored creek that flows across the land, and discover all that Ananda Dhiira had to offer.
Ananda Dhiira was awarded “Conservationist of The Year 2007″ for its creek restoration project which is an ongoing effort to restore the ecological balance of the land and to preserve wildlife habitat. The vision has been extended to create an Eco-Meditation Garden for you and the community.
